At the heart of it all:

ACAF Systems, Inc. model SC series is an automatic pre-engineered, self-contained, stored energy-type fire suppression system that uses Compressed Air Foam (CAF) as the fire suppression agent. Unique to the industry, it requires no water supply but rather creates a unique CAF: biodegradable foam, from a pre-mixed foam water solution. Nitrogen is used under pressure to create the Compressed Air Foam as well as to power the system. A specially designed, patented valve assembly that will create the CAF upon activation maintains control of the system. The result is an expanded foam material that consists of small uniform bubbles.

The SC series is available in four assemblies: 0060, 0100, 0200 and 0400. Each features a pre-assembled automatic Compressed Air Foam generator/control valve. ACAF Systems, Inc. model SC series is designed for use in automatic fixed pipe spray, hose reel, and oscillating monitor CAF systems. And, because ACAF Systems, Inc. model SC is pre-assembled, the cost of installation is reduced. All ACAF nozzles, CAF generators, Extreme CAF Foam and Universal CAF Foam as applied with the ACAF Fixed Pipe Spray System are FM Approved.

The three unique options:

Fire Suppression SystemThe Automatic CAF Fire Hose Reel System is ideal for firefighting needs in locations that require foam as a fire-fighting agent. The system will provide Compressed Air Foam on demand to one or more fire hoses automatically. No running for equipment as the system will start on a signal from any remote hose station and will summon the fire department at the same time. Applications include but are not limited to: marinas, aircraft hangers, fuel loading stations, mines, onboard ships, and parking garages.

Automatic Fire Suppression SystemThe Automatic CAF Fixed Pipe Spray System is perfect for fire protection of special hazards that involve flammable liquids. Applications include emergency generators in hospitals and high-rise buildings, chemical storage facilities, and fuel transfer stations, just to mention a few. The piping network designed by an ACAF Systems, Inc. licensed contractor is connected to an automatic SC assembly sized for the hazard. By connecting additional SC assemblies, large areas may be protected. Installation of the piping system and materials must be in accordance with ACAF System, Inc.’s design manual.

The Automatic CAF Oscillating Monitor System is hydraulically driven – the first in the field of Compressed Air Foam fire suppression! It operates in a similar fashion as a lawn sprinkler, oscillating from left to right. The motor is driven hydraulically with liquid from the product’s own solution tank. There are no batteries, electricity, generator, or fuel tanks required; therefore, power outages or fuel shortages pose no risk to the system’s reliability. Discharge duration may be designed for up to 10 minutes. This ACAF Systems, Inc. patented innovation is an excellent choice for applications such as within shipyard construction and servicing buildings, where in the event of a fire our monitor systems will distribute Compressed Air Foam over a large area. Also, aircraft hangers can benefit from the product’s ability to spray CAF over the top and underneath aircraft stationed within.

Extreme CAF Foam and Universal CAF Foam

ACAF Systems, Inc. is the sole distributor of the exclusive ESF AFFF foam solution used in all of ACAF’s machines. This environmentally responsible foam is a special mix of AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) concentrate and water that contains no solvents, only vegetable-based materials.

What’s more, Extreme CAF and Universal CAF Foam are environmentally responsible, non-corrosive, and FM approved. Extreme CAF Foam for Class B hydrocarbon and Class A fires. Universal CAF Foam is FM approved for use in polar solvent and hydrocarbon fuel fires.

At the heart of this special foam agent is compressed nitrogen, the power that drives the system and creates the CAF (Compressed Air Foam). Nitrogen is a non-ozone depleting gas that is found naturally in Earth’s atmosphere.
